Important notes on data quality
Our import function handles even complex data sets with tens of thousands of entries without difficulty, as long as your records come as CSV or TXT files and use a comma or a semicolon as the separator (which is the standard for exports from virtually every ERP or business solution). Even so, you should make sure your records are captured precisely and correctly right where they are created in your own system – not only for the sake of processing in easycompliance.
So please make sure – for individual checks as well – that you always capture the complete name of a company or organisation and avoid abbreviations (common suffixes such as GmbH are not a problem). For individuals it is important to capture every part of the name (first and last names, including double-barrelled names). If your names span two columns – first name and last name in separate columns, for example – you can say so during the import into easycompliance, so that the full name is always captured. Please also avoid putting titles or forms of address in the name columns, and do not add extra special characters such as full stops, commas or exclamation marks to your records (usual additions such as "GmbH & Co. KG" are harmless). Our system does have a range of filters, but special characters can still lead to incorrect results. In particular, please make sure that names are not loaded into the system in the format "Last name, First name".
If this is not observed and you import only the last names, for example, you may well end up with a great many imprecise hits – every single one of which has to be assessed.
Note: the examples below apply to individual checks too. For an individual check, always enter complete company names or the names of private individuals only. No addresses, no other additions.
