Exporting hits as a CSV file

On the hit overview of the automatic list screening, you can download the hits of each section as a CSV file – with the name, reference, dates, rating status and comment for each hit. A click on “CSV export” downloads all rows of the respective section, not just the page currently shown. Only your own data is exported.

Requirements

  • The read permission “view lists” (view lists). Without this permission, the hit overview – and therefore the export – cannot be reached.
  • The respective module must be enabled for your customer (e.g. sanctions lists, PEP or Dow Jones). The export always refers to the module you currently have open.

Step by step

  1. Open the hit overview in the desired module (the page “Automatic List Screening Hits”, reachable via the “Hits” link in the list management).
  2. The page is divided into three sections:
    • “Unreviewed Hits” – new hits you have not rated yet.
    • “False positive rated hits” – hits you marked as false positive.
    • “Confirmed Hits (Positive)” – hits you confirmed as truly positive.
  3. In the desired section, click the “CSV export” button in the top right (tooltip: “Download all rows of this section as a CSV file”).
  4. Your browser automatically downloads a CSV file. The file name contains the module, the section and the date, e.g. treffer_sanctions_offen_2026-07-24.csv.
  5. Open the file with Excel, LibreOffice Calc or a text editor.

Good to know

  • The CSV file contains these columns (header row):
    • Name – the name of the hit.
    • Reference – your own reference from the monitoring list (empty if the record is no longer in the monitoring list).
    • Hit date – date and time the hit was created (format DD.MM.YYYY HH:MM).
    • Rated on – date and time of the rating (empty for unrated hits).
    • Status – depending on the section: “unrated”, “False positive” or “Confirmed positive”.
    • Comment – the comment you saved for the hit.
  • All rows of the section: the entire section is exported, regardless of any search, sorting or paging in the table – including rows that are not currently visible on the shown page.
  • Separator and encoding: the file is UTF-8 encoded and uses the semicolon (;) as the separator. A UTF-8 marker (BOM) is prepended – with it, German Excel opens the file correctly on a double-click, umlauts included.
  • Only your own data: the export is firmly bound to your customer number. Hits of other customers are never included.
  • Difference from the CSV status report: this export refers to the hit overview (rated and unrated hits). If you instead want to export the state of your entire monitoring list with the screening result per record, use the CSV status report of your monitoring list (see below).

Frequently asked questions

How does this export differ from the CSV status report? This export downloads the hits of a section (unrated, false positive or confirmed positive) with their rating status and comment. The CSV status report of your monitoring list instead exports the entire monitoring list with the screening result (OK/HIT) per monitored record. In short: the hits here, the complete list there.

Why does the CSV open correctly in Excel, with umlauts? Because the file is delivered UTF-8 encoded with a prepended UTF-8 marker (BOM) and uses the semicolon as the separator. German Excel detects both automatically, so umlauts and special characters display correctly and the values are split into columns.

Which rows are exported – only the page shown? No. All rows of the respective section are exported, no matter which page or sorting the table currently shows.

Why are some rows missing a reference? The reference comes from your monitoring list. If the related record is no longer there, the Reference column stays empty.
